United Kingdom 2020 GPI Player of the Year Standings (Feb. 27)
Jack Sinclair is the man to catch in the UK GPI Player of the Year race for 2020. Sinclair netted A$172,380 for a sixth-place finish in the A$25,000 $25K Challenge at the Aussie Million, cashed in the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS South America Main Event, and in the recent WPT Germany Main Event in Rozvadov.
The latest leaderboard has a brace of brand new names on it. Artan Dedusha is here courtesy of his victory in the 2020 GUKPT London Main Event that saw him win £137,430 and his 10th place finish in the WPT Germany Main Event worth €24,000.
Chris DaSilva is now in the top 10 after a flying start to the year. Cashes at the GUKPT London festival, the WPTDeepStacks Brussels, and Kings of Tallinn have seen him enter the POY race in seventh.
The main point to remember is this—roulette is fixed in the sense that the casino has a mathematical advantage which ensures it will make money over the long run. You didn't honestly believe they were running these games for the good of their health, did you? In that sense, online roulette is fixed. It's unbeatable over a long period. I have no reason to believe that Live Roulette is fixed, or Live casino providers are cheating players or the casinos that use their services. But that doesn't mean you should just play anywhere. If you stick to some basic guiding principles you will minimise the risk of playing anywhere that is likely to cheat you. No it isnt, but a roulette wheel can be bias. Sometimes the weight of the wheel isn't even, meaning the ball will roll towards the heavier side, being bias to that side of the wheel. Is roulette in casinos fixed. There have been instances where land casinos have been found using roulette wheels with magnets, and where the ball lands can be manipulated. But this usually takes place in underground, illegal establishments. A legitimate casino would be too afraid of getting caught and having their license revoked.
A trio of solid results in partypoker LIVE MILLIONS events have done Roberto Romanello's hopes of a Player of the Year title no harm at all. He cashed in both the MILLIONS Mini and MILLIONS Main Event at Dusk Till Dawn, then again in the MILLIONS South America Main Event.
